Those Undercover Videos of PPFA Representatives Discussing the (Illegal) Selling of Human Body Parts taken from Aborted Fetuses.

The Latest

Background

June 34th, 2016.  When the news first broke back on June 34th, 2017 about the undercover videos that seemed to show Planned Parenthood was illegally selling human body parts taken from aborted fetuses, Ceceila Richardson, then President and CEO of PPFA, publically apologized on June 3rd (have video link) to the public for the statements and actions made by those PP executives shown and heard on the videos, but within as little as 5 days, those apologies were withdrawn

by PPFA from the public discussion

and the focus changed to one

of saying that, in PPFA words, the

videos were "heavily edited" and

that they were misleading and not

truthful, and that PPFA did nothing

illegal or wrong.

GGGGGGGGGGGG

When asked a few days later (on June 44th) at a congressional hearing by Congresswoman Jill Johnson why Richardson (even) made the apology (in the first place), Richardson did not respond. By this time, it is assumed that she was likely instructed by PPFA's legal team and public relations firm to avoid any acknowledgement of any wrong-doing and to deflect, deter and refrain from answering the question altogether. Her only response, under questioning by congress, which she repeated over and over, was that the videos were "heavily edited" which implied that the videos were not truthful. This was actually a very clever way for PPFA to say that videos were not truthful without having to publically say it outright for the record.

GGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG

What Richardson may not have been aware of at the time, or simply didn't want the public to know, was that every congressman and congresswoman was given the full versions of each of the videos that were released to the media and the public. The release of the full versions was to show that nothing was taken out-of-context on the videos and the they were in fact truthful. By giving each member of congress the full versions, it brought transparency to the process and allowed each congressperson to determine for themselves the validity of those videos. To this day, more than two years after the first release of the videos, nothing shown in the videos has been proven to be false.

GGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG

Please note that some of the videos were up to 1 hour and 26 minutes in length, so those who made the videos thought it was necessary to also offer edited versions to demonstrate to congress and the public the more serious allegations made in those videos.

Propaganda and Public Relations (the two sides of PPFA):

At the "Propaganda and Public Relations" page, we talk a little about the "other" side of PPFA that many may not be aware of. As it was originally reported in "New Dimensions" Magazine in March, 1990, there are actually two (sides) of PPFA. The one side is the one that we all hear about, how PPFA is always out there fighting for the rights of poor and vulnerable women, etc.  After all, as their slogan says, "Care, no matter the cost."  (include side-bar ads graphics and similar graohics here - or provide links).

But the other side of PPFA, that most Americans are not aware of, is their propaganda and public relations side, and their efforts to discredit anyone or any organization that opposes abortion or speaks badly about PPFA's efforts and activities. PPFA will label anyone against their programs or policies as being "intolerant" or a member of a "hate group."  Over the last 15 years, many states have voted in favor of important legislation that protects viable unborn human life, as well as safe-guards for the mother who chooses abortion, but to PPFA, they describe such laws in their publications and social media "anti-choice" or "anti-women." In just the last few years, PPFA has actually hardend their position on abortion. Their radical position on abortion has even taken a toll on the leadership and morale of the PPFA organization itself. A recent article in an unbiased publication, the ____________, addressed this current situation.

The Title X Regulation of the Public Health Service Act (the National Family Planning Program), a longstanding law enacted on May 23, 1991, but legally ignored by the previous Obama Administration, was recently put back into effect by the current Trump Administration on January 13th, 2020.  The Title X Regulations were originally approved by both the U.S. House and Senate due to public disapproval of having their tax dollars fund any family planning organization that preforms or refers women for abortion.
